Overwhelmed

Posted on

This weekend has been a little over whelming for me not just at Uni but life in general.. A bit dramatic you say, well for those that know me yes!!!

This weekend we learnt all about the digestive system, I have to say this has to be my favourite lecture so far!! 70% of our immne system lies in the gut. That means that what we put in our mouth has so much input on our health , even more so then I could ever have imagined.

Who knew that Chrohns disease can be cured, or that cod liver tablets can reverse cavities in the teeth, low fat diets create gallbladder stones....there are so many pathologies to learn and I am just at the beginning...

I love going to Uni, I love learning about the teachers stories of their clients, I'm like a sponge at the moment, soaking it all up. However how to cure people is overtaking the 'cause of the problem' at the moment. So I need to take a step back and look at how the body works in more detail, so when it's my turn to help people be free of their illnesses I will know how it started and why. TREAT THE CAUSE AND NOT THE SYMPTOM

I want to tell you all about everything I have learnt, but I must just absorb and allow my brain to process all the information. I literally can't wait until I can run clinics and treat people.

Today has literally excited me so much that I want to study it all and I mean everything. Functional medicine, Healing.....the list goes on

So onto whats been going on this week...I made my first order with Abel & Cole. Organic produce. I'm definitly going the organic way from now on. I mean there are so many toxins around today, polution, radio waves, pesticides.....I want to give my body the best fighting chance possible. I don't want Cancer and I sure as hell don't want the treatment if I did get cancer. Changing what you eat can help protect you from later life diseases, it's mainly to do with the Gut (what we learnt today) Most people wait until they are ill before they help themselves, but why not do it when you are well??

Most diseases can be avoided, yes even genetic ones can, and yes it really is that simple..food, nutrition, supplements, state of mind and health. So why are not more of us doing this? Because taking over the counter remedies are easier! Taking a pill is easier! Have you ever read the side effects on this stuff???? Now lets get one thing right, I am in no way saying that you should never take prescriptions or ignore your doctors advice, what I am saying is take a look at yourself and work out why you became ill, when did it start....If you can find the cause you can then treat the problem. If you don't work out the cause then all you doing is masking it, and the consequences can be a lot worse.

Someone close to me went to her doctor and diagnosed her with hiatis hernia. Then decided it wasnt that and diagnosed her with barretts oeophagus. She is having to live in constant annoyance of a burning sensation of the oesphagus. She also has really bad IBS symptons. No nutritional help only advice to take Anti-acids and laxatives, both that are extremly toxic and will only make the problem worse (something you have to live with for the rest of your life). My goal is to treat this person so its controlled or to even cure the problem, by going the natural way. It will take some tests, money and time but it will be sorted.

I will keep you updated with the plan and results, but this isn't a short term thing, it's going to take time a lot of time

I'm off to plan my food for the week and allow my brain to have a rest :)

Stay Natural xx
